TOBACCO ROAD

Another Rowan County favorite film over the years was the 1941 John Ford-directed TOBACCO ROAD starring Gene Tierney, Dana Andrews, Ward Bond, Elizabeth Patterson (the Ricardos' neighbor in I LOVE LUCY) and Charley Grapewin (Uncle Henry in THE WIZARD OF OZ).

Even though it had been playing on television for a number of years, TOBACCO ROAD had a local booking as late as 1967.

There were twenty Rowan County engagements of TOBACCO ROAD.
